What is the purpose of a Wireless USB Network Adapter?
I have a laptop and sometimes when I take it out of my house, I do not get connection to the internet. With the wireless USB Network Adapter, am I able to connect to the internet right away?
For example, I am purchasing a new laptop and I saw this, Linksys Wireless-N USB Network Adapter with Dual-Band.
What would this product do for me? Will it give me any internet connection?
the wireless adapter allows your laptop to pickup wireless signals and IF you have access then it will connect to the network in question to provide you with internet service.
The IF here is that just because you picked up a signal doesn't mean you can connect to said network. Many wireless networks are secured and require a pass code of sorts in order to connect. Some wireless networks are unsecured and open however and you should be able to connect to those just fine.
