If the xbox 360 has online with the memberships (silver) do you need to buy a wifi adapter to play online?

I am getting a xbox 360. So the 360 has the memberships which means online but i saw a wifi adapter so do you really need the adapter to play online games(xbox live)

If you can use an ETHERNET CABLE, than you DO NOT need to purchase a WIFI card thingy...

Here is how it works,

- Ethernet cable plugs into back of 360, runs to Internet Router. (Ethernet cables usually cost 10 - 20 bucks. - once cable is connected, you should be able to play online just fine!

- WIFI adapter - The Wifi is $99.99 I believe, and when you buy it you plug it in the back of the 360, and then it will find a wireless network. (Please Note) YOU HAVE to have a wireless Router to make this work! Wireless Routers are usually $75.00... or there about!

Your best bet is to go with an Ethernet cable!
Ethernet cable runs 100mbs
WIFI runs (I think) 56mbs

ETHERNET is FASTER,
