I want to buy a laptop. What would I need to do to get WiFi in my home and access WiFi in public places?
I'm confused about what equipment you need, and whether you have to pay for WiFi in your home by a monthly basis. I am also confused as to if you have to pay for a router on a monthly basis (to access public WiFi).
if you have internet in your house, simply attach a router or modem that provide wifi with your internet...no extra fee except for your internet bills

most public wifi are free and you can connect with any laptop with wireless
however, some public wifi require fees like wifi at mcdonald, starbuck, or in some airports, they provide more info when you try to connect to their wifi or visit their websites
