Review of two digital wireless headphones - The latest trend in wireless technology?
Not being tied to a headphone cable is one of the main reasons for the popularity of href = "http://www.amphony.com" wireless headsets>. But until wireless headphones could never match the sound quality of traditional models of cable. Wireless transmission would be prone to interference and noise. If the new advances in technology wireless transmission capable of addressing the drawbacks of the previous generation of wireless headphones? Let's take a look at two wireless headphones both use the latest in wireless transmission to discover how these models compared with traditional wired headphones in terms of sound quality and reliability.
We will review the Sennheiser RS180 and model Amphony 2500. Both models use the latest technology of digital audio transmission. In short words, the wireless signal that is transmitted by the transmitter to undergo a conversion process. Then, the information obtained is transmitted to the headphones and converted back to audio. Use of this digital transmission, neither of the two models than any hiss or distortion we are accustomed to previous wireless models. Both headsets claim to deliver true CD quality audio.
The first thing we noticed is that Sennheiser headphones are designed as open headphones which means that the sound from the headphone transducers penetrate to the outside of the headphones while the model Amphony is closed. There is no way to say that any particular design is better than the other and, as such, is a matter of personal preference. A closed design like Amphony, reduce the level of sound heard by else that is good when listening to loud volume without disturbing others. Both models are equipped with soft velvet cushions and fit snugly.
The transmitter RS180 acts as a support base for the headphones. When not in use, the headset can be suspended from the station. The RS180 transmitter offers a regular analog audio input, but no digital audio input. This is especially important because most modern plasma TVs no longer have analog audio outputs. The Model 2500 transmitter automatically switches to the correct audio input when it detects that audio input has a valid signal.
By comparing the two models in terms of quality sound, the RS180 has a kind of light quality and excels in the midrange, but low on bass. As such, we believe the RS180 is suitable for listening to the voices and music light. The low response of the model 2500 is steeper than the RS180 but well balanced and not overly aggressive in any way. The same wireless transmission is no longer suffering of the drawbacks of the previous generation models and the sound quality of both the rival models of the quality of wired headphones. The only limitation is the fact wireless headphones that operate on batteries and therefore will never be able to ruin the same volume as the wired headset plugged into a headphone amplifier good. However, both models are able to achieve reasonably high levels, the 2500 model than the RS180.
The RS180 transmit signal to 2.4 GHz Supports up to four handsets per transmitter. The Model 2500 operates at 5.8 GHz and supports an unlimited number of headphones.
