Compaq Presario?
Alright long story, my best friend bought a Compaq Presario, and it came with Windows XP installed already. But my friend thinks he has to be the next best thing so as soon as Vista came out he upgraded....IT SUCKS NOW...lol the computer sucks. So he gave it to me and its all mine but I can't do really anything with it because it takes about 30 minutes to do anything at all. Thats surfing, menus anything. So I thought since I had made the mistake of doing vista to mine a while back, and I had used the discs that came with my computer to revert back to XP (successfully I might add) I thought I could do that with the compaq...but it didn't come with one, even when my friend bought it brand new...or so he told me. Could be a lie. Is there any other way to get a restore type disc (ebay is not an option) ? Or a place I could download the components of such and burn them to a disk? Any help would be so appreciated...: ) If you need more info let me know. or contact through messenger
You should be able to contact HP, but you may be able to use your discs you used for your other computer. You will need to use a different key, but that should be located on sticker on the bottom side of the laptop.
