What is the difference between a wireless N router and a wireless N broadband router?
Currently have a desktop pc using broadband w/modem. I would like to hook my laptop using an wireless n notebook card I already have. Do I have to use a wireless n broadband router since I am using a broadband connection as my service provider?
"Wireless N" refers to the wireless protocol on the local network. "Broadband" generally refers to the Internet side being Cable, DSL or satellite. If I were looking at a router labeled only "Wireless N", I would be careful to find out if it was broadband or not.
It SHOULD be, (wireless N doesn't make sense with sub-broadband speeds) but you never know.
