Help, my ATT cell phone type Internet card is a piece of shit.?

I have a new macbook 10.5 os and I have had this really unreliable and malfunctioning ATT wireless cell internet card called USB 811 by Sierra... and it always shuts off, has terrible service IN LOS ANGELES and I want to know what my rights are... if there are other Non-usb cell phone internet cards available.. or any other info . thanks.
Macs dont have that wireless card slot thingie that PC's do but is there an ethernet cord plug type cell modem?

I am having the same problem with my sierra wireless usb 881. It's now stopped working I called Att manufacture warranty department and they told me the warranty was voided because with my usb wireless card it was getting really hot i did not know if this was normal but you can now see the black mark on the att symbol in front and because of this they voided the warranty. I am going to call sierra wireless my self and raise hell. I will speak to their president if i have to. I know this is not much help but before the burn mark start appearing take it to the store where you bought it and ask for something different. I guess the old saying is true " you get what you pay for".
