How Can I Boost My Wireless Internet Reciving Power?
I have a PCI Netgear Wn311B on my desktop, its a good antenna but i only get like %50 signal, i bought a a 25 dbi omni directional antenna and well haven't hooked it up because i need a pigtail to convert to the n connection on my pci card, what i want to find out is, will connecting the pci card to the antenna boost my receiving power, or is there like a hack to boost the power to the antenna, or is there a more powerful wifi pci card that they sell. What can i do to boost my receiving power, i cant buy a more powerful router because its not my internet, im getting it from neighbors around the area, and i know you guys are ganna say to get my own isp, but seriously free internet, what more could you want.
It's going to take a hardware solution.
If you are getting a weak signal, you're getting a weak signal... period - no tweaking of software will change that.
