How I can get my wireless adapter has a better connection?
I have a linksys router and a Netgear WG111 WRT54GSv4 wireless adapter. The router is about 1.5 car lengths away from my adapter through 2 or 3 walls. It seems so close, but my connection% in SmartWizard Netgear is 60% while the connections of the houses in the villages across the street are like 80 and 90 with me. All my family is retarded when it comes to computers and networks, so I need help here. What could I do to help my connection?
Nothing much, but that might be something in the walls. There is more profit antenna that is available for the model. To make sure I did my best. Probably would do the initial setup of new router. Probably find a newer version driver for your wireless adapter. (Netgear support website) If you move the router, put in high places that the walls only way really the type of signals. However, buying a better router and an adapter you can save even more time.
