Can you have two different style antennas in a wireless USB adapter?
I'm thinking of buying a dual antenna wireless USB adapter extreme agreement and then purchase an omnidirectional antenna and a directional antenna. (Connection via SMA)
It should not hurt anything. But I do not get the results they expect. Double antenna adapters (or dual-antenna routers) do not add the signals from both antennas. Instead, a continuous monitoring of signal strength of each antenna, and the use of what one gives the strongest signal at this time. (This can change from one moment to another, even if you do not move the team.) In an address and an omni-directional antenna, the adapter is likely to use continuous directional antenna if well directed, or omni-directional antenna continuously, if the directional antenna is not well managed.
