Acer Aspire 5738z DVD drive and Bluetooth not working anymore
I have the Acer Aspire 5738z laptop and facing some issue regarding the DVD drive and the bluetooth of this Acer laptop. I have recently installed the Windows 7 operating system in this laptop and after that the DVD drive is not shown in the My computer and the Bluetooth is also not working after that. But With Windows Vista operating system every thing was working properly.

This type of the issue everyone faces after upgrading the operating system of the desktop or the laptop systems. The same case is there with your Acer Aspire 5738z laptop. It seems like that you have not installed the driver software of the webcam of the inbuilt Bluetooth device of the device. So first install the driver software and restart the laptop.

I think the DVD drive of the Acer Aspire 5738z laptop is not connected to the motherboard properly that is why it is not shown in the My computer of your Acer Aspire 5738z laptop having the Windows 7 operating system. So first restart the system and the issue is still there then try to reconnect the DVD drive on the motherboard of the laptop.

If you are not having the driver software of the Acer Aspire 5738z laptop compatible with the Windows 7 operating system then you can update it through the device manager of your Acer Aspire 5738z laptop. But before doing that make sure the laptop is connected to the internet. After the installation of the drivers restart the laptop to take effect the changes made by installation of the driver software.

If any of the above solution is not working then i will suggest you to get back on the Windows Vista operating system. Because this laptop is working properly with Windows Vista including the DVD drive and the bluetooth. If this product is under warranty period then you should contact to the Acer service center regarding this issue.
